For five decades, the Mansfield Tavern has stood as a cornerstone of Brisbane’s live music scene. Since opening doors in 1974, our iconic entertainment space – known historically as The Rock Arena – has hosted a powerhouse lineup of legendary acts from Australia and beyond.
Midnight Oil, INXS, The Angels, Crowded House, and Powderfinger all graced our stage, as did global icons like Joan Jett, Cheap Trick, and Madness. Even hometown heroes from Mansfield, Violent Soho, returned to their roots to perform here.
With a raw, authentic atmosphere and stellar acoustics, The Rock Arena has become a rite of passage for artists and fans. Festivals like Necrosonic continue that legacy today, echoing the venue’s rich history with every note played.
As we celebrate our 50th year, now rebranded as the The Arena at Mansfield Tavern, the Mansfield Tavern remains a beloved live music institution, welcoming a wave of new genres and musicians.
